I wrote, yesterday, about how the airlines tried every which way to dissuade the Dept of Transportation from introducing new passenger protection regulations.
You might be wondering how successful the airlines were in their advocacy, and what new measures actually made it through to the DoT's final rulemaking. Happily, most of the measures were implemented, notwithstanding the airlines' desperate protestations to the contrary.
Please click over to this new page – New Airline Passenger Rights – for more details. I'll update other pages on the website to reflect the new obligations on airlines a bit closer to when they take effect (ie about four months from now).
Is there value help or “We’re the Government and here to help you.” kind of program?
