It’s back and better than ever – our popular tour that takes you to seven of the islands off Scotland’s west coast, plus time in the Highlands and around Loch Ness.
Visit storied isles such as Skye and Mull, feel the ambience on Iona (Scotland’s most holy place), and enjoy the whisky on Islay, home of Scotland’s most famous whiskies.
We travel all the way to the Outer Hebrides, visit Fingal’s Cave, enjoy the ‘Harry Potter’ steam train ride, and look for the Loch Ness monster. Inbetween times, we visit some distilleries, travel on 11 ferries, visit some old castles, stone circles, and stately homes, and – most of all – have a marvelous shared experience with a small group of like-minded fellow Travel Insiders.
The tour departs in early June 2015, and the main itinerary spans 11 days and 10 nights. We’ve pre and post tour options that feature experiences as varied as a World Heritage Industrial Revolution site, a night in a 700+ year old hotel, a visit to the mysterious Rosslyn Chapel with links to the Holy Grail and Knights Templar, and a steam train ride from a lovely English market town to the seaside town of Whitby, where Dracula is said to have landed in England.

Just saw your Scotland tour. My wife and I just recently signed on to an early July tour of Ireland, so will miss this one. We are going with an Irish gentleman (living now in the USA) who is also an entertainer and does 2 tours of his home country each year.
Our problem is we use Award travel and it becomes difficult to schedule flights except during off peak periods unless you do so 9 – 11 months in advance. Often finding Award seat availability comes and goes from month to month. So it is hard to plan a land tour in conjunction with flights the closer in one plans. Is there any way you and pre-announce your planned tours about 11 months in advance – maybe without details, but a rough agenda and time frame?

A shame you can’t come to Scotland. I like to announce things as far in advance as possible, because it seems many readers do plan their years well in advance. But this varies from sometimes about a year to sometimes closer to six months. Also, unless I can offer firm dates, it is probably of little value to people seeking to find scarce frequent flier tickets.
I’m sure our paths will cross and our dates will align, sooner or later.
